John Ralph was delighted to support the Arbor Day Foundation by donating furniture to the Lied Lodge Renewal at Arbor Day Farm, Nebraska City in 2015. Through working with Arbor Day Foundation, we learned of an exciting new opportunity to extend our involvement as a supporter in 2016.
As suppliers of wood products, we depend on trees. Through involvement with Arbor Day Foundation, we are now able to support reforestation work which allows us and our customers to give back even more than what we take out.
John Ralph is pleased to announce that it will make a donation to plant one tree for every piece of furniture sold in 2016, beginning January 1st. Donations are made to Arbor Day Foundation on behalf of the customer and will support reforestation in Idaho’s Maggie Creek State Forest. According to Arbor Day Foundation, “This planting project will reforest the State of Idaho Endowment Land Selway parcel that was burned in 2014 as part of the Johnson Bar Fire. Reforestation in this area will benefit many species including black bear, elk, and white tail deer, as well as grouse, wild turkey, and fisheries. [It] will [also] help to stabilize slopes and protect the Scenic Selway River area and provide hiding and thermal cover for wildlife.”
John Ralph estimates that it will plant a minimum of approximately 10,000 trees on behalf of customers in 2016.
