Rosewood [Khaya senegalensis]

Rosewood ranges in color from very pale pink to a dark reddish brown. Grain is straight to interlocked, with a medium to coarse texture, and a good natural luster. The wood has streaks of color exhibiting a ribbon-stripe appearance. Because of its decorative appearance, it is favored for furniture.
